We are proud to tell you that the governments of Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States now subscribe to the RISK REPORT. U.S. government users work for the Departments of State, Energy, Treasury, Justice and Commerce, as well as for the intelligence community.

Why Do You Need the RISK REPORT?

Today, American and European firms are forbidden to export any product they know will help make a weapon of mass destruction. This new export rule grew out of the experience in Iraq, where many of the world's leading high-tech companies were embarrassed by revelations that their products were helping Saddam Hussein build nuclear and chemical weapons and the missiles to deliver them. The lesson was clear: To protect their reputations, exporters need to know more about their customers.

Can You Rely on the RISK REPORT?

The RISK REPORT provides the latest unclassified intelligence on weapons of mass destruction programs worldwide. The lists of suspect buyers are carefully built by experts using the most reliable sources available: government reports, manufacturers' brochures, industry databases, trade journals and credible media reports. Customs agents around the world are already using the lists to investigate sensitive shipments to countries of proliferation concern.

How is the Information Kept Up to Date?

The RISK REPORT database is available on the web, with updates every 3 weeks, or on CD-Rom, which is updated every other month, with each new CD being cumulative. The price for a single-user subscription is $2800 a year. Site licenses and customized versions are also available.

Who Developed the RISK REPORT?

The RISK REPORT is published by the Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control, a nonprofit research organization that operates in Washington, DC, under the auspices of the University of Wisconsin. The Project has been investigating sales of proliferation-related technology for twenty years and has identified thousands of buyers linked to mass destruction weapon and missile proliferation. The Project is funded by several private foundations.
