Employment and internships

The Project employs several interns throughout the year. The interns carry out substantive research for the Risk Report and Iran Watch and help with administrative tasks. Rigorously selected, Project interns are accomplished students who make valuable contributions to the work of the organization. The Project accepts internship applications on a rolling basis.

Research Internship

The Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control in Washington accepts internship applications on a rolling basis. Interns do research on the spread of weapons of mass destruction.

Interns will gain valuable experience in gathering information and conducting research for the Wisconsin Project’s Risk Report database and for the Iran Watch web site. In addition to research, Interns will help carry out a project to convert the organization's extensive collection of proliferation-related materials into a searchable electronic archive.

Candidates should be adept in working with Windows, MS Office and Word Perfect, and in doing research on the Internet, using databases like Lexis-Nexis. Those with basic knowledge of html are preferred. Previous scanning and electronic document conversion experience is not required. Proficiency in Farsi, Korean or Arabic would be helpful.

The internship is a paid position.

The Project is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that operates under the auspices of the University of Wisconsin.

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter either by mail to the Wisconsin Project, Suite 805, 1701 K Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20006, by fax to 202-223-8299, or by email to hr@wisconsinproject.org. No calls please.
