Candidates must have a reputation for solid research, have relationships with government officials and the media, and have experience briefing these audiences as an expert. The Deputy Director will be responsible for presenting the Project's work in public fora, including in testimony before Congress. The Deputy Director must have the personal and professional skills required to recruit and manage staff, manage relations with the Project's board of directors and recruit additional members for the board.
